It is He who created you from clay *_{Genesis 2:7}* and then decreed a term and a specified time [known] to Him; then [still] you are in dispute.

And He is God in the heavens and the earth. *_{Deuteronomy 4:39}* He knows your secret and what you make public, and He knows that which you earn.

Say, "What thing is greatest in testimony?" Say, "God is witness between me and you. And this Qur'an was revealed to me so that I may warn you thereby and whomever it reaches. Do you [truly] testify that there are other gods with God?" Say, "I will not testify [with you]." Say, "Indeed, He is only one God, *_{Deuteronomy 6:4}*, *_{Mark 12:29}*, *_{Mark 12:32}*, *_{James 2:19}*, *_{ShepherdOfHermas 26:1} and indeed, I am innocent of what you associate [with Him]."

And if you could see when they are made to stand before the Fire and will say, "Oh, if only we could be returned [to life on earth] and not deny the signs of our Lord and be among the believers." *_{BookOfEnoch 63:1}*, *_{BookOfEnoch 63:5}, *_{ShepherdOfHermas 17:5}

And they say, "Why has a sign not been sent down to him from his Lord?" *2* _{Ezra 1:35} Say, "Indeed, God is Able to send down a sign, but most of them do not know."

And warn by [the Qur'an] those who fear that they will be gathered before their Lord - there will be no protector and no intercessor for them besides Him - *_{Isaiah 43:11}*, *_{Hosea 13:4}*, *_{Sirach 24:24}* so that they might fear [God].

And when Abraham said to his father Azar [Terah], "Do you take idols as gods? ~*_{Joshua 24:2}* Indeed, I see you and your people to be in clear error." *_{BookOfJubilees 12:1} - 2

So when the night covered him [with darkness], he saw a star. He said, "This is my lord." *_{BookOfJasher 9:17}* But when it set, he said, "I do not love those that disappear."

And when he saw the moon rising, he said, "This is my lord." *_{BookOfJasher 9:17}* But when it set, he said, "Unless my Lord guides me, I will surely be among the people gone astray."

And when he saw the sun rising, he said, "This is my lord; *_{BookOfJasher 9:13}* this is greater." *Gospel of _{Barnabas 29:2} But when it set, he said, "O my people, indeed I am innocent of what you associate [with God].

Those are the ones whom God has guided, so take an example from their guidance. Say, "I ask for no payment from you for [this message]. *_{ShepherdOfHermas 43:12}* It is nothing but a reminder for the worlds."

And they did not appraise God with true appraisal when they said, "God did not send down anything to a human being." Say, "Who sent down the Scripture that Moses brought as a light and guidance to the people? You make it into pages, disclosing [some of] it and concealing much. *2* _{Ezra 12:36} - 37, *_{2Ezra 14:6}, *_{2Ezra 14:26} And you were taught that which you did not know - neither you nor your fathers." Say, "God [sent it down]." Then leave them in their [empty] discourse, amusing themselves.

That is God, your Lord; there is no god except Him, *_{Deuteronomy 4:35}*, *_{Deuteronomy 4:39}*, *_{1Samuel 2:2}, *_{2Samuel 7:22}, *_{1Kings 8:60}, *_{Isaiah 44:6}*, *_{Isaiah 44:8}*, *_{Isaiah 45:5}* - 6, *_{Isaiah 45:21}*, *_{Mark 12:32}* the Creator of all things, *_{Psalms 146:5}* - 6, *_{Isaiah 44:24}*, *_{Isaiah 45:7}* - 8, *_{Sirach 18:1}*, *_{Acts 4:24}*, *_{Acts 7:50}*, *_{Acts 14:15}*, *_{Acts 17:24}* - 25 so serve Him. And He is Disposer of all things.

Vision does not grasp Him, *_{Deuteronomy 4:12}*, *_{Deuteronomy 4:15}*, *_{Job 9:11}*, *_{John 5:37}*, *_{1Timothy 1:17}, *_{1Timothy 6:16} but He grasps [all] vision; and He is the Subtle, the Aware.

Follow what has been inspired to you from your Lord - there is no god except Him *_{Deuteronomy 4:35}*, *_{Deuteronomy 4:39}*, *_{1Samuel 2:2}, *_{2Samuel 7:22}, *_{1Kings 8:60}, *_{Isaiah 44:6}*, *_{Isaiah 44:8}*, *_{Isaiah 45:5}* - 6, *_{Isaiah 45:21}*, *_{Mark 12:32}* - and turn away from the polytheists.

And do not insult those they invoke other than God, *_{Exodus 22:28}* unless they should insult God in enmity without knowledge. Thus We have made the deeds of every community seem pleasing. Then their return is to their Lord, and He will inform them about what they used to do.

And even if We had sent the angels down to them [with the message] and the dead spoke to them and We gathered every [created] thing together in front of them, they would not believe unless God should will. *_{Luke 16:30}* - 31 But most of them are ignorant [to that].

And likewise, to many of the polytheists, their partners have made the killing of their children [seem] pleasing in order to bring about their destruction and to cover them with confusion in their religion. And if God had willed, they would not have done so. So leave them and that which they invent. *_{BookOfJubilees 1:15}*, *_{Deuteronomy 12:31}*, *_{2Kings 16:3}, *_{2Kings 17:16} - 17, *_{2Kings 17:31}, *_{2Chronicles 28:3}, *_{Psalms 106:36}* - 39, *Wisdom of _{Solomon 14:23}, *_{Jeremiah 7:31}*, *_{Jeremiah 19:5}*, *_{Jeremiah 32:35}*, *_{Ezekiel 23:39}*

Say, "I do not find [anything] forbidden to one who would eat it within that which was revealed to me unless it is a dead [creature] *_{Leviticus 22:8}* or blood spilled out *_{Genesis 9:4}*, *_{Leviticus 7:26}*, *_{Leviticus 17:12}*, *_{BookOfJubilees 6:10}, *_{BookOfJubilees 6:17} - 19, *_{Deuteronomy 12:23}*, *_{Acts 15:20}* or the flesh of swine - for indeed, it is an abomination *_{Leviticus 11:7}* - 8, *_{Deuteronomy 14:8}* - or [unless] it is [that slaughtered in] disobedience, dedicated to [something] other than God. *_{Exodus 34:15}*, *_{Acts 15:28}* - 29, *_{Acts 21:25}*, *_{1Corinthians 10:28} But whoever is forced, neither desiring [it] nor transgressing, then indeed, your Lord is Forgiving and Merciful."

And to those who are Jews, We prohibited every [animal] of uncloven hoof; *_{Leviticus 11:3}*, *_{Deuteronomy 14:6}* and among the cattle and the sheep, We prohibited their fat to them, *_{Leviticus 7:22}* - 23 except what adheres to their backs or the entrails or what is joined with bone. [By] that, We repaid them for their injustice. And indeed, We are truthful.

Say, "Come, I will recite what your Lord has prohibited to you. [He commands] that you do not associate anything with Him, *_{Exodus 20:3}*, *_{Deuteronomy 5:7}* and good [treatment] to parents, *_{Exodus 20:12}*, *_{Deuteronomy 5:16}*, *_{Matthew 19:19}*, *_{Ephesians 6:2}* and do not kill your children out of poverty; We will provide for you and them. And do not approach immoralities - what is apparent of them and what is concealed. And do not kill the soul which God has forbidden, *_{Exodus 20:13}*, *_{Deuteronomy 5:17}*, *_{Matthew 5:21}* except by truth. He has instructed you this so that you may use reason."

Say, "Indeed, my prayer, my rites of sacrifice, *_{Psalms 54:6}*, *_{Psalms 116:17}* my living and my dying are for God, Lord of the worlds.

And it is He who has made you successors upon the earth and has raised some of you above others in degrees [of rank] so that He may try you through what He has given you. *Wisdom of _{Solomon 6:1}* - 3 Indeed, your Lord is swift in penalty; but indeed, He is Forgiving and Merciful.
